The knee is one of the finest places in human
body. Knee injuries are very dangerous and treated for a long time.
Fortunately, there are a lot of Knee Strengthening Exercises which are designed to improve strength of the muscles of the knee. The main
rule says that exercises should be performed approximately 10
times, 3 times daily. Of course, it depends on kind of exercises but usually
proportions are the same. This is the moment to introduce an example of the
exercise. This one is called Static Inner Quadriceps Contraction. A description
of the exercise is as follows: First tighten the muscle at the front of your
thigh by pushing your knee down into a towel. This is first part of exercise.
Then put your fingers on your inner quadriceps to feel the muscle tighten
during contraction. Now, wait for 5 seconds and then repeat 10 times as hard as
possible. As we can see, everything is not so simple. Of course, there is
variety of exercises which were created to help with knee problems. Within
basic exercises we have also exercise called “Quads Over Fulcrum”. What is that exercise? Firstly, you need to
start this exercise lying on the back with. Also you need to have some kind of
rolled towel or foam roll under the knees. If everything is ready, start slowly
straighten as far as possible tightening the front of your thigh. This Knee
Strengthening Exercise is also repeated 10 times. Hold position for 5 seconds –
like before. All the exercises require
accuracy. As stated at the beginning of
the text, knee is very delicate place. If we are doing exercises wrong, it can
cause more problems with knees. As we know, knees are absolutely required to
walk. And now, who is most vulnerable to knee injury? People doing sports
certainly. Rugby is a sport in which the risk seems to be the biggest. Why? It
is very physically discipline and risk is huge. While playing rugby, knees are
exposed to a very large extent. Second sport in probably football. It’s
logically, in this most popular sport on the earth, players use only legs so
risk is also huge. To be honest, most doctors on the earth would say, that in
case of problems with knees, doing sport is discouraged and very dangerous.
Why? Reason is quite simple. When knee is damaged, every step is dangerous. One
bad step, exposure knees overload may totally destroy it. There are many cases when knee became enable
to repair and any knee strengthening exercises won’t help. This is not a threat
but the facts. We have to take care on our knees. However we usually don’t know
it’s structure, we can easily avoid the situations while the knee is at
risk.
